Hello Norm,

how long are trying to reach your aims? You seem to have a very big patience ;-)

Here are the templates (I assume, that your FO syntax is correct):

<xsl:template match="chapter_title">
  <fo:block font-size="14" font-weight="bold">
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
  </fo:block>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="sub">
  <fo:inline vertical-align="sub">
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
  </fo:inline>
</xsl:template>

Regards,

Joerg

Hi,

Thank you all for pointing me in the right direction. Now, I am trying to write a xslt file for the simple xml file below:

Please note that I have more than one tag within <chpater_title>. I am attaching the xslt file I am working on... It is not producing the correct result. Will someone please help me correct the style sheet?

Thank you Norm

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type='text/xsl' href='test.xsl'?>
<document id="DOCUMENT 1234">
<chapter id="100">
<chapter_title>First Chapter 3testing 4 </chapter_title> <chapter_title>Second Chapter </chapter_title> <chapter_title>Third Chapter 3></chapter_title>
</chapter>
</document>

<xsl:template match="//chapter_title">
<fo:block font-size="14pt" font-weight="bold">
<xsl:value-of select="."/> <fo:inline vertical-align="sub">
<xsl:value-of select="sub"/>
</fo:inline>
</fo:block> </xsl:template>
