XSLT Market Need
Subject: XSLT Market Need From: Michael Laing <mpl@xxxxxxxx> Date: Sun, 12 Mar 2000 14:54:00 -0500 |
I have the opportunity to apply for some funding to develop an XSL transformation engine similar to XT, Saxon, et al. The goal is to create a fully conforming engine that achieves high performance through fine-grained multithreading, intelligent (pre)compilation of the XSL stylesheet, good memory management, etc. I will build on the wonderful work that has gone before to the degree I can, but the focus will be on performance. Licensing issues are undecided at this point. Frankly I am more experienced in the implementation side of this than I am in XSL itself, but part of my proposal must address the market for such an engine, either as a standalone application or as a component of another application. Does anyone have some (pointers to) information about the potential market that I can use? Thanks, Michael Laing XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
