this is my xml:
<MAINMENU>/aimsimages/webback.gif </MAINMENU>
<MAINMENULINK>/scripts/pbisa60.dll/aims/web/mainmenu?as_session_id=1704
</MAINMENULINK>

this is what i had try for my xsl:
	<a>
	<xsl:attribute name='HREF'><xsl:value-of
select='MAINMENULINK'/></xsl:attribute>
	<img src="{@MAINMENU}" width='16' height='16' border='0'/>
	MAINMENU </a>

and
	<a>
	<xsl:attribute name='HREF'><xsl:value-of
select='MAINMENULINK'/></xsl:attribute>
	<img src="{@MAINMENU}" />
	MAINMENU </a>

none of them give me what i want, the image MAINMENU doesnot seem to show
as is. Instead it shows up as a square with a dot in the middle , appear
to me that it could not get the image or something not right

However if i specify the path like this:
	<a>
	<xsl:attribute name='HREF'><xsl:value-of
select='MAINMENULINK'/></xsl:attribute>
	<img src="/aimsimages/webback.gif" width='16' height='16' border='0'>
</img>
	MAINMENU </a>

then it works ok

Could any one please know why? Thanks
Thuy

The trick is to enclosed the IMG's SRC value with accolades : <img
src="{@MAINMENU}"/>
