My understanding (which gets more confused the more I read these posts,
unfortunately) is that there is a conceptual difference between the two
matches. The first ( match="foo[@bar]) matches elements, and the second
(match="foo/@bar") matches attributes. You can tell the difference by the
use of the brackets).
