Hi.

Yes you are right with regard to FOs as they currently stand. At the moment
FOs in their current form can only be regarded as a starting point. For
some it is perhaps an unfare bias that the first presentational objects
(would it be better to talk in terms of POs ?) reflect a visual bias, but
there is absolutely no reason at all why other media types and other
namespaces can't be easily roled in.

If you use FO as a document format, you only have a formatting
vocabulary at your disposal and your objects are bound to a certain
media type.
